What comes to your mind when you hear the word “Monday”? After having two blissful days over the weekend, people often face Monday blues at work. Getting back to work with stacks of workload and deadlines to meet drives you to feel anxious and less-energetic on your first day of the week. You dread the day approaching.

Is it okay to always hate Monday? Well, if you wish to be successful in your career, get a promotion or having a pay raise, you should throw away your Monday blues away immediately!

When you fail to perform your duties right, your managers will notice, and this is bad for your career. Moreover, it is important to plan your tasks so that you do not suffer a backlog where you will be rushing those tasks from Tuesday to Friday.

Confront your Monday blues right now by doing these 5 actions:

Define the Monday as Money Day. Yank out 'I hate Monday' perspective! Instead, term it as 'Money Day'. Your weekend is over, and now it’s time for you to brace yourself up and continue working hard to keep up your financial health. Keep in mind that you have to be professional at work. Whatever the day it is, you have to ensure your productivity and performance remains constant.

Ask Colleagues How Their Weekends Went. Instead of directly focusing on your tasks, perhaps it is better for you to start your day with a conversation. Ask your colleagues to share what went on during their weekend. Casual chatting with your friends will bring positive energy, and you will be in a better mood. Quite easy, isn’t it?

Prepare for Monday on Friday. One effective way to be happy on a Monday is by alleviating the burden on Friday. Break up your tasks and try to accomplish some of them on Friday. Yes, you might be super busy on Friday but the coming weekend will shower you with some refreshments. When you get back to work, you will feel calmer and much lighter, as some of your tasks have already been completed.

Adequate rest on your Sunday. Some of you are too enthusiastic about the weekend. Both days are being filled with activities. However, managing your weekend is as important as your weekdays.

Sleep earlier on Sunday night, so that you can wake up feeling refreshed. A good time management will avoid rushing through the traffic. By being early at work, you can have more time to enjoy your breakfast and build your energy levels.

Stop complaining! Complaining invites negativity. Instead, be positive to face the challenges that come your way! Monday blues is a challenge and when you 'defeat' it, you know you are in better control and had further enhanced your ability to conquer negativities.

Tackling your Monday blues might not be easy. But keep on going with the various methods to keep those blues away and you will be able to see your desired results.
